The work is titled “La Mordillina” in homage to the Argentine humorist and illustrator Mordillo. The halo surrounding the Virgin figure is composed of collage fragments taken from his graphic stories, integrating elements of his visual language into the sacred iconography of the piece.
Through this gesture, the work bridges devotional imagery and contemporary Argentine graphic culture, positioning the figure as a symbolic patron of poets — both playful and reverent, mythic and modern.
